Micronas earns Samsung's "Best Supplier Award" for 2004 (0507)

Micronas (SWX Swiss Exchange: MASN, Frankfurt: MNSN, Prime Standard Segment, TecDAX) today announced that it has been recognized as "Best Supplier" to Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. for 2004 for its cutting-edge IC system solution products.

CeBIT, Hanover, Germany, March 10, 2005 -- The corporate-level "Best Supplier Award" is the highest honor given to suppliers from Samsung. This year's award citation acknowledges that Micronas "provided outstanding support and contributed the most extended to Samsung Electronics".

This is the first time Micronas wins that prestigious award from Samsung Electronics, the global leader in digital TV products. In total twenty suppliers were awarded in this year's ceremony. Micronas, Philips and Sanyo were the only semiconductor manufacturers to be granted this high recognition.

The award was granted by Samsung Electronics' Vice Chairman & CEO Jong-Yong Yun and was presented to Wolfgang Kühn, VP Sales Consumer, Micronas during an official ceremony held in the Shilla Hotel, Seoul, Korea on February 18, 2005.
