The AMA Association for Sensor Technology was founded in 1980 as the AMA Arbeitsgemeinschaft Messwertaufnehmer e.V., a registered workgroup association for measuring transducers. Today the AMA Association has about 450 members, 70 of which are R&D institutes.
The AMA Association represents the interests of all organizations engaged in one form or another with measuring devices or systems. It thus covers the entire value chain from fundamental research to production and from sensor elements to complex measuring, testing, and controlling systems.
The AMA is an active and authoritative technical association offering its members multi-layered services and a unique network, securing and expanding the strong position of its members on the world market.

 

CAN in Automation GmbH

CAN in Automation (CiA), the international users and manufacturers group founded in March 1992, provides technical, product and marketing information with the aim of fostering CAN’s image and providing a path for future developments of the CAN protocol. More than 520 companies from all over the world have joined this non-profit trade association.

 

wvib - The economic association of industrial enterprises

The wvib (Wirtschaftsverband Industrieller Unternehmen Baden e.V.; Business Association of Industrial Enterprises) is an independent regional association of service providers for small and medium-sized industrial businesses. Without being required by law, almost 1,000 innovative firms have decided to join the wvib since 1946.
The wvib provides fast, efficient, unbureaucratic and personal help. Whether you need some brief item of information over the phone or individual consulting at your business: 30 people working at the Freiburg-based wvib office have the right solutions for every issue of everyday business life.
Organising around 80 seminars for exchanging experiences, the association brings together entrepreneurs, experts and decision-makers from every walk of business life, learning first-hand and live from each other’s businesses and creating a practical and personal learning network.
With almost 300 events on virtually every subject or topic, the wvib Academy currently reaches an audience of over 3,000 every year.

 

ZVEI - Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e.V.

The 'ZVEI - Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e.V.', the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, represents the economic, technological and environmental policy interests of the German electrical and electronics industry at the national, European and international levels. It provides specific information about the economic, technical and regulatory framework conditions of the electrical industry in Germany.
The ZVEI promotes the development and use of innovative technologies by proposals concerning research, technological, environmental protection, educational and scientific policy. It supports market-orientated European and international standards-making activities.

 

Spitzencluster (leading-edge cluster) MicroTEC Südwest

TDK-Micronas is an actor in the Spitzencluster (leading-edge cluster) MicroTEC Südwest as well as a member of the professional association microTEC Südwest e.V. (MST BW).

The cluster in the Southwest Germany unites more than 350 companies, institutions, universities, and research facilities with more than 1,200 scientists. MicroTEC Südwest is thus one of the largest technology networks in Europe. Activities within the cluster are coordinated by MST BW, based in Freiburg.

The aim of stakeholders involved is to further develop the leading international position that the state of Baden-Württemberg already enjoys in the field of microsystem technology into one of true global leadership. With global players such as Bosch, Roche Diagnostics, Festo, Daimler, Zeiss, Endress+Hauser, Sick, and Testo, many innovative medium-sized companies, and leading research and development facilities, the Spitzencluster MicroTEC Südwest forms a cross-sectoral foundation for future pioneering innovations and new growth in the region.
