Günter Hoppe to retire – Daniel Wäger to become the new Chief Financial Officer of Micronas
Zurich, May 5, 2014 – Micronas announced today that Günter Hoppe, the CFO of Micronas, will retire as planned as at November 1, 2014. His successor, Daniel Wäger, will take office until November 1, 2014.
Daniel Wäger will take over as Chief Financial Officer of Micronas (SIX Swiss Exchange: MASN) on November 1, 2014 at the latest. In the years from 1999 to 2006 he was working for several companies of the Schott group, as from 2001 as Vice President Finance of Schott Pharmaceutical Systems. Recently, the 49 year old Swiss citizen was the Chief Financial Officer of Benninger group (2006 to 2008) and Wärtsilä Switzerland Ltd (2008 to 2014). “With his international background Mr. Wäger will complement our management team very well. We are very much looking forward to working together with him”, says Heinrich Kreutzer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Micronas.
Günter Hoppe, Micronas’ Chief Financial Officer, will retire having worked more than 17 years for Micronas. “We thank Mr. Hoppe for his excellent work and his long-standing loyal engagement for Micronas. His professional and personal skills were outstanding and made him a very competent Chief Financial Officer.
